10th Medical Education Workshop on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer - ESMO Report
The 10th International Medical Education Workshop on Molecular Targeted Therapy of Cancer (MTTC), organized in partnership with the ESMO, the CECOG and the BDA, was held June 12-13, 2009 in Prague. The workshop was chaired by Dr. Heinz Zwierzina from the Innsbruck Universitätsklinik in Austria and Dr. Yosef Yarden from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel.
The workshop was acknowledged with 10 ESMO-MORA Category 1 points and the ESMO label (ESMO), 9 European CME credits (ACOE) and 9 European CME credits (UEMS).
The first MTTC Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors recognized scientists who have significantly contributed to the research and development of molecular targeted therapies of cancer, was awarded to Dr. John Mendelsohn of MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas, USA.
The program included interactive elements such as the Meet the Professor Session and question and answer sessions using an electronic polling system.
