European PKU survey results published!

Dear colleagues,
On behalf of my colleagues from the PKU Scientific Advisory Board, I would like to sincerely thank you for your participation in the European PKU Survey in 2008.

The survey results were written up in a manuscript tilted "Management of Phenylketonuria in Europe: Survey Results from 19 Countries". The results showed that there is a great amount of variability between different European countries regarding the definition of PKU phenotypes and treatment and follow-up practices for PKU.

I am pleased to announce that the manuscript was accepted for publication by Molecular Genetics and Metabolism in September, 2009. All centers that returned completed questionnaires were listed as contributing European PKU centers.
